Mahalo

A little bit about me...

Mahalo

Mahalo was rescued at the Laidley sale yards. She had been kicked in the face by another horse and was suffering from a facial wound. When Mahalo first arrived at SAHA we found that she could be very volatile in her moods. Sometimes she was quiet, but other times she would rear up and try and strike. We were informed her nickname before she went to the sales was 'Striker'. We did everything we could to fix her behavioural issues, but unfortunately she was so unpredictable that she was a danger to our farriers, trainers, volunteers, staff and vets. We made the difficult decision to euthanize her because we felt that we simply could not guarantee people's safety around her, and safety is our prime concern.
