Clyde
Gelding Australian Stock Horse
Clyde must have been the luckiest stock horse at the Warwick sales! Amanda had purchased horses numbered 26 and 28 and had organised for them to be transported to the Beaudesert sanctuary while she immediately transported a critically ill mare and foal to the Gold Coast Sanctuary. When she returned to Beaudesert, she was shocked to find that due to a paperwork mixup, 26 and 27 had been transported and 28 had been left behind and was due to be slaughtered for human consumption. The abattoir suggested she keep 27 and they would slaughter 28 instead but Amanda was horrified at the thought and arranged transport to pick up 28 and paid the extra to rescue 27- aka Clyde- as well! Turns out Clyde is the sibling of number 26, now named Bonnie. Accidentally rescued by SAHA..
