Benita (Princess Benita)

We rescued this girl in 2009 when she was being shipped off to the knackery. She had been a racehorse in her younger years and produced 6 foals. Benita was then rehomed in 2010 to an amazing home, but sadly due to heartbreaking personal reasons, Benita's owner could no longer keep her. She came back into care but at her age and retired from riding, we doubted she would find a forever home and added her to our Golden Oldies Sponsorship program. Sadly Benita began to struggle with laminitis and went off her food. She lost weight rapidly and we decided the kindest thing was to let Benita run free over the rainbow bridge.
